One app on your phone, tablet, laptop and desktop

FlexiBudget is a progressive web app. It opens in any modern browser, installs to your home screen or dock if you want it to, and keeps working when the signal doesn't.

What it runs on

Anything with a current browser: iPhone and iPad (Safari), Android phones and tablets (Chrome, Firefox), Windows, macOS, Linux and ChromeOS. There is no app-store download, no separate desktop build and no "mobile version" with half the features missing — it is one app that lays itself out for the screen it's on.

Add it to your home screen on a phone or install it from the browser on a laptop and it opens in its own window, without browser chrome, like any other application. Delete it the same way; nothing is left behind in a system folder.

Offline-first, not offline-tolerant

The distinction matters. Many apps treat offline as a degraded mode: you can view a cached screen, maybe queue an action, and the app nags you until it reconnects. FlexiBudget stores its data in a database on your device and reads from it first, so the app is fully usable with no connection at all — on a plane, in the metro, three floors down in a parking garage, or at the rural gas station where you actually need to log the fuel.

Nothing is waiting on a server round-trip. If you never turn sync on, the app never needs the internet again after it has loaded once.

Sync is optional, and only between your own devices

On the free plan the data stays on that one device and is never uploaded. That is the honest trade-off to be aware of: there is no backup on the free plan, so clearing your browser storage or losing the phone loses the data.

The paid Standard plan adds cloud backup and cross-device sync, so the same budget appears on your phone, tablet and laptop and can be restored onto a new device. Sync moves data between your devices — it is not a data-sharing arrangement with anyone else.

No ads, no bank logins, no data sale

FlexiBudget has no advertising and never will, and your financial data is not sold, shared or mined. There is no bank aggregation either, so no third party ever holds your banking credentials. The subscription is the business model — there are no investors expecting the data to be monetised later.
