What Drivvo is good at
Of the dedicated vehicle apps, Drivvo has the widest scope: refuelling with consumption tracking, arbitrary vehicle expenses, services, reminders, and income tracking aimed at rideshare and delivery drivers who need to know whether a shift was actually profitable. If your vehicle is your business, that last part is a real feature and worth keeping in mind.
Where it stops
Everything Drivvo models hangs off a vehicle. There is no place for rent, groceries, subscriptions or a salary that isn't driving income — because it isn't that kind of app. The overlap with a budgeting app is therefore total in one narrow strip (car costs) and zero everywhere else.
That strip is exactly where the duplicate typing happens. Every refuel, every service, every set of tires gets entered in Drivvo for the vehicle history and again in a budgeting app for the month's spending.
What FlexiBudget does differently
The vehicle ledger is comparable in depth — refuels with odometer readings, consumption between matching tank marks — full-to-full or empty-to-empty — cost per kilometer, servicing with parts and labor split out, distance- or date-based reminders, unlimited vehicles of any kind — but it sits inside a personal finance app rather than beside one.
Practically, that changes three things:
- One entry, two effects. A refuel is simultaneously a fuel-log row and a categorized expense against your monthly budget.
- Real totals. "What did the car cost me this year" and "what did I spend this year" come from the same ledger, so they reconcile by construction.
- Multi-fuel is first class. One vehicle can hold gasoline and electricity, or gasoline and LPG, each with its own unit, its own averages and its own preferred efficiency display.
When you should stay with Drivvo
If you drive for a living and the per-shift income tracking is the thing you open the app for, Drivvo is built around that use case in a way a general budgeting app is not. And if you have no interest in tracking household spending, a vehicle-only app is a smaller, more focused tool.
Switch if the annoyance you actually have is typing the same fuel stop into two apps.
