A Fuelio alternative that isn't tied to one platform — or one asset
Fuelio is a clean, focused fuel and mileage log, and it's genuinely good at that. If you've outgrown it because you want the fuel spend to land in your actual budget — instead of in a second app you also have to keep — this is the comparison.
What Fuelio is good at
Fuelio does one job well: log fill-ups, track consumption and costs, keep a mileage history with GPS, watch fuel prices at nearby stations, and remind you about servicing. Cloud backup to Google Drive or Dropbox keeps your history off a single handset. It's fast to use and doesn't ask you to model your whole financial life first. For one car and an owner who wants nothing more, that focus is a virtue rather than a limitation.
Where it stops
Two limits tend to push people to look elsewhere.
The first is scope: it's a vehicle log, so there's no household budget, no categories for anything that isn't the car, no accounts, no income. The fuel spend is recorded but disconnected from what you can afford.
The second is the screen. Fuelio is a phone app — Android and iPhone, and good on both — which is exactly right at the pump and cramped when you want to sit down and read a year of data on something larger than your hand.

If Fuelio already suits your phone, you track exactly one car, and you have no wish to budget anything else, Fuelio is a lighter tool for a lighter job and there's no reason to move. FlexiBudget is worth it when you want the car costs and the household costs in the same ledger, or when you want to reach your data from more than one kind of device.
